This Brennan House was a shining example of the power of paint color. This home in the rolling hills of Loomis, CA, was built at the height of the Tuscan trend. Eventually the homeowners found themselves disenchanted with the style. Their roof, however stylized, was still in excellent condition and would be a very costly replacement simply for aesthetics. They reached out to me for help, and I pulled one of my favorite tools from my toolbox - my paint fan. We needed the exactly right body and trim shades that would not only banish the harsh gold, but harmonize with existing stone work, pull the attention away from the red roof tiles, and solidly bring this Mediterranean stunner into the current day. Tricky - but I’d say we nailed it.
